Allied Security, the nation's largest privately owned contract security services company, has agreed to a multi-year agreement as a corporate sponsor of Crime Stoppers, the highly successful and effective criminal tips

Lawrence F. Loesch, Allied Security's Vice President and General Manager of the New York City Region and a former NYPD Deputy Chief, said his company became involved on a long-term basis with Crime Stoppers because the program encourages the public to actively and anonymously fight crime.

"As a major provider of security services in New York City, Allied Security seeks to become involved in programs that have a positive effect on our community," Loesch said. "Crime Stoppers tips from concerned citizens over the past 20 years have led to thousands of arrests, including many high-profile major crimes. We are pleased to join with the New York City Police Foundation to help Crime Stoppers."

Pamela D. Delaney, President of the New York City Police Foundation said: "Allied Security's partnership with the New York City Police Foundation will allow us to continue our crime-fighting initiatives. The grant from Allied will be used to support the reward fund and communicate the importance of the hotline to the citizens of the city."

Since 1983, the New York City Police Foundation has operated Crime Stoppers, a successful tips hotline program, staffed by NYPD detectives. The Foundation provides the financial support to maintain the reward fund and public awareness. Crime Stoppers has approved over $1 million in reward money for confidential information leading to the arrest and indictment of violent criminals in its 20-year history.
