M&S Fine Foods, Inc. Purchases Denzer's Food Products.

M&S Fine Foods, Inc., one of the nation's leading direct-to-customer purveyors of gourmet and specialty food products, has purchased the business and assets of Denzer's Food Products from Jake Slagle Incorporated,

Denzer's signature product is Queen Conch Chowder, which is manufactured to a recipe developed out of more than 30 conch chowder recipes tasted and tested by former owner Jake Slagle, who is also a Maryland real estate agent and civic leader.

"Manufacture of Caribbean Queen Conch chowder is extremely limited because of the skyrocketing cost of Caribbean conch," LaLone said. "Denzer's Queen Conch chowder is distinguished by the large amount of conch used in its preparation. It is an extraordinary product and it will be a standout among the many fine soups and chowders offered by the Seyco Fine Food Division of M&S Fine Foods."

In the transaction, M&S acquired all inventory of products, mailing lists, formulas for production of all Denzer products, and all other tangible and intangible assets.
