Coca-Cola to Sell Downtown Paducah, Ky., Plant, Open New Distribution Center.

Oct. 30--PADUCAH, Ky.--The Coca-Cola bottling plant, a 64-year-old Paducah landmark, will soon be up for sale now that the nation's leading soft drink company has picked Industrial Park West for a regional distribution center.

Coke's decision to merge Paducah and Hopkinsville shipping operations into the park -- rather than picking a site at Calvert City -- preserves all 80 Paducah jobs and means that at least 25 of the 40 Hopkinsville jobs will move here. All 120 workers, earning
