Interactive DVD games win studio backing.(DreamWorks L.L.C. released Madagascar )(Brief Article)

Hollywood major DreamWorks hopes to capitalise on growing interest in interactive DVD-based games, with the release of its own interactive DVD title, Madagascar. The software package is intended to tie in with the studio's animated feature, released in the US in May 2005. The animal-themed general knowledge game, developed by US-based developer B Equal, is played via a standard DVD player, and retails at around $30. The game has been developed using UK company Zootech's proprietary DVD authoring package, DVD-Extra Studio, which allows for automated menu creation.
