HPAC Engineering through the years: the times may have changed, but the magazine's function...

Seventy-five years ago, I was 1 year old and not very interested in either Heating, Piping and Air Conditioning (HPAC), as this magazine was known then, or the American Society of Heating and Ventilating Engineers (ASHVE), which, through a merger with the American Society of Refrigerating Engineers (ASRE) three decades later, would become the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) we know today. In subsequent years, however, both would became a significant part of my life and professional activity.
