WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 19, 1996--Seven CSR Rinker employees have successfully completed a technical sales training program conducted jointly by the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA) and the Construction Specifications
Each received certification as a consultant of concrete masonry and as a documents technologist.
The recipients include Frank Salters, general manager north/gypsum division; Don Beers, structural engineer/environmental services; Tony DePietro, senior sales representative, Daytona; Daryl Gorenflo, manager of architectural sales and services; Jamie Hustey, senior architectural representative, Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale; Steve Rissi, architectural representative, Tampa Bay; and Mike Sargent, sales representative, Ft. Lauderdale.
To earn certification, students must pass two intensive, one-week courses that teach them to read and interpret the technical specifications of architectural plans and blueprints.
The courses also cover technical issues regarding concrete masonry design and construction, CSI MasterFormat software and a variety of construction documents. All students are required to pass a written examination upon completion of the course work.
"Architects, engineers and building contractors rely on suppliers who can accurately interpret their specifications and offer workable solutions to structural challenges," said Salters. "The NCMA and CSI certification assures that our technical sales staff can provide the highest level of service to these customers."
