ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif. -- For three years running, Bomel Construction has been recognized by the Southern California Chapter of the American Concrete Institute for their achievements. This year, Bomel has been presented the Outstanding Achievement
The award was accepted by Bomel project executive Gordon Crane at the ACI Awards Banquet held November 18 in Pomona, California. "Being honored by the ACI for the third straight year is a great triumph for Bomel. Thanks to the efficiency of our field crews, subcontractors, and all involved with the Pechanga parking structure, we were able to complete this large project on time," stated Crane.
The Pechanga parking structure project, which can park 3200 cars on 5 levels, required 100,000 square feet of deck material and was constructed from November, 2003 to July, 2004. "The project's extremely fast construction schedule required us to make five elevated pours of about 380 cubic yards of concrete every ten days," Crane commented. "The planning and coordination that went into executing this tight schedule is a Bomel trademark."
In previous years, Bomel Construction has received the Excellence in Concrete Award for the Grove at Farmer's Market parking structure in Los Angeles and the UCLA Intramural Field Parking Structure.
