Florida contractor hosts high school interns

Coastal Mechanical Services, LLC, Melbourne, FL, is supporting the Academy of Construction & Design at Palm Bay High School by hosting internships.

The academy was designed to help educate students on the wide variety of opportunities that exist in the construction industry, as well as teach them skills about the business world that will help them wherever their futures lead them. The Melbourne-Palm Bay Area Chamber of Commerce facilitates this academy, along with many other Academies set up in various public high schools throughout the county.

Coastal Mechanical Services hosted internships for two students. Jennifer Statlick (junior, left in photo) shadowed one of Coastal's project managers, PJ Goodwin, and got a firsthand look at project coordination, while Novella Gordon (sophomore) crunched numbers with with Tom Sullivan, Coastal's accountant.
