Mesa Energy becomes ISO 9000 certified

Mesa Energy Systems, an HVAC service firm, has received ISO 9000 certification of its mobile services business.

Mesa began preparing for the ISO audit in December 1999 by changing its business model and implementing a field service automation system that integrates Lotus Notes for e-mail, ACT!

"Bringing all the right tools together and changing our business model, not just automating it, was the key to our success," says Tracy Singh, president and CEO of Mesa Energy Systems.

"One of the best side benefits we received from implementing the new software model was that we were able to throw away two railroad-car-sized dumpsters of paper documents, some of which we'd had for 14 years!"
