Stromberg's Gawne Receives NEBB Service Award

The National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) has awarded Robert B. Gawne of Stromberg Sheet Metal Corp., Beltsville, MD the NEBB George B. Hightower Distinguished Service Award. Gawne was involved in organizational meetings during the late 1960s and early 1970s that resulted in NEBB's formation in 1971.

Gawne attended the first NEBB Board meeting in 1971 as a member of the first NEBB Board of Directors. He served on the Board from 1971 to 1974 and again from 1982 to 1987.

Gawne has mantained his NEBBqualified supervisor status since he first obtained it in 1973. His company, Stromberg Sheet Metal Corporation, was also NEBB-certified in 1973.

Gawne served as NEBB President in 1987.
