Trane Wins Contracts to Upgrade School HVAC Systems

Trane has secured a performance contract to upgrade the building HVAC infrastructure and climate control equipment in five buildings within the Metropolitan School District in Steuben County, IN.

According to the company, the upgrades will contribute to the increased energy efficiency of the school buildings and improve the comfort level of the classrooms. As part of the planned renovation, scheduled for April 2006, Trane will provide 17 Voyager(TM) packaged rooftop units and high efficiency boilers. Trane will also improve the temperature control systems, recommission the school's HVAC controls, perform lighting retrofits, and provide masonry repairs and window replacements.

In a similar effort, Trane has upgraded HVAC systems in the Marysville School District, Marysville, OH. The company's Tracer Summit(TM) building automation system will provide integrated control of all aspects of the school's climate and lighting systems.
