NATE Certified Technician Competition's Finalists to Square Off at HVAC Comfortech

Seven technicians, selected from more than 11,000 possible contestants in the HVAC industry, will compete in North American Technician Excellence's (NATE's) fifth annual Certified Technician Competition,

the competition will take place at HVAC Comfortech, which will be held September 15-18 in St. Louis, MO.

The competition demonstrates the technological, systemic and mechanical knowledge required to install and service today's heating and cooling equipment. Contestants will compete in a series of timed, hands-on events. HVAC simulators will be rigged with specific heating and cooling problems that require contestants to demonstrate their problem solving skills by analyzing, diagnosing and correcting numerous equipment and system malfunctions. The technician who solves the problems correctly and with the shortest time will be awarded the Top Tech title.
