AEM elects top two officers.

The board of directors for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers has elected Charles Stamp Jr. (photo), vice president of public affairs worldwide, Deere & Co., Moline Ill., as chairman of the organization. Gerald Shaheen, group vice president of Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, Ill., is the

new first vice chairman.

They will lead the AEM board of directors and the association in setting the operating policies and guidelines in areas including product safety and technical support, equipment statistics, market trend data, public policy representation, international marketing services, trade shows, online strategic information services, education and training, and development of safety/educational material.
