Two homebuilders are earning accolades for their consistent and innovative use of propane in their building projects.

Brad Negaard of GBN Construction in Jacksonville, Fla., won in the category of homes selling for more than $250,000, and Mike Morel of Morel Builders in Hopatcong, N.J., won for homes under that amount.

The two companies were selected from 45 nominations in the second year of the PROPANE Exceptional Energy Builder Awards issued by the Propane Education & Research Council. This year's winners were announced at the International Builders Show he
