Pulte Homes Buys Undeveloped Land in Tucson, Ariz., from Fannie Mae.

Jan. 6--Pulte Homes has purchased the remaining undeveloped land in Civano, an environmentally-friendly housing development in far Southeast Tucson, from mortgage lender Fannie Mae.

Residents said they believe the sale is positive for the future of green building. If Pulte, the largest homebuilder in the nation and one of the biggest in Tucson, adopts safer building practices, others may follow.
