Construction begins on Lynden Safeway.(Whatcom County, Washington)(Brief Article)

Foundation and framing construction work has begun on the first Safeway grocery store to enter back into the Whatcom County area. T.M. Development hopes to have store construction completed within six months. The store is located on the corner of Meridian Street and Birch Bay-Lynden Road in Lynden. The shopping center will have a 60,000-square-foot store along with a gas station. In the future, a restaurant and a fast-food outlet may be added. There is also about 6,000 square feet of retail space available.
