Apr. 30--Palm Springs is swinging again.

Mixed-use developments at either end of downtown and two high-end hotels under construction are leading a conga line of commercial activity.

The mixed-use projects -- the Port Lawrence and The Palm Canyon developments -- will be the first projects of their kind to be built in Palm Springs, said John Raymond, director of Palm Springs community and economic development.
