Hardin Construction Company has announced a number of promotions.

Dean Killen has been promoted to general superintendent. Killen joined Hardin in 1983 to work on the Harbor Island retail project in Tampa, Fla. In the 23 years that he has worked for Hardin, Dean has worked on more than 20 office, hotel, retail, and residential projects. He was named to the position of senior superintendent in 2002. His next assignment is a signature high-rise office and condominium project.

Michael Janssen has been promoted to senior superintendent. Janssen joined Hardin in 1988. He became an assistant superintendent in 1995 and quickly rose to the position of superintendent. He has been involved with many notable projects over the years and is currently overseeing Marriott's Ocean Watch Resort in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Chris Bell has been promoted to project manager. Bell joined Hardin in June of 2004. Chris is currently working on the Rio Grande Valley Premium Outlets in Mercedes, Texas, which is due to open next month.

Kyle Taylor has been promoted to project manager. Taylor joined Hardin in May 2002 as an intern and began working full time in 2004 after graduating from Georgia Tech. He has worked on projects such as Centergy, Yamacraw Parking Deck, Technology Square, 171 17th Street at Atlantic Station, San Antonio Hyatt Regency Hotel Renovation, and Terminus 100. He is currently part of the team on the Avenue Webb Gin project in Atlanta, Ga.

Brody Koopmans has been promoted to superintendent. Koopmans joined Hardin in 2003. He is currently working on Rio Grande Valley Premium Outlets in Mercedes, Texas.

Mike Pirtle has been promoted to superintendent. Pirtle joined Hardin in 2004 with more than 20 years in the health care industry. He is currently working on the Hamilton Medical Center Emergency Department Renovation and Addition in Dalton, Ga.

Lisa Fanto has been promoted to the position of senior vice president, corporate and communication services. Fanto joined Hardin in 2001 and previously held the title of vice president of administration. In her new position, Fanto is responsible for overseeing critical support functions, including human resources, employee development, corporate communications, marketing, and creative services. Prior to joining Hardin, Fanto gained 20 years of human resources and corporate administration experience within companies such as Lockheed, Sprint and Solvay Pharmaceuticals.
