Dale E. Scott, vice president of Orlando-based general contractor Keene Construction Company, was inducted into the national Retail Hall of Fame in Atlanta recently. The award honors individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership within the retail construction, design and development industries.

A longtime national retail construction veteran, Scott also received the Trustees' Distinguished Service Award in 2002 from the 48,000-member International Council of Shopping Centers. He was the first general contracting representative and only the 69th member overall to receive the award in the association's 47-year history. That award recognized his outstanding contributions in developing ICSC's CenterBuild Conference spotlighting shopping center design and construction.

Scott has been responsible for business development at Keene Construction since 1995.

Keene Construction specializes in grocery-anchored retail, power centers, lifestyle centers, department stores, and big box retailers, as well as office and warehouse projects.
