McCarthy Promotes Robert Ward

Sacramento, Calif.— McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. announces the elevation of Robert Ward to project director for the Northern Pacific Division. Previously a senior project manager, Ward is responsible for the overall management of projects, with a particular focus in the heath care sector.

"The health care market continues to be one of strongest and with the state's seismic retrofit deadlines nearing, the sector is continuing to grow," said Rich Henry, McCarthy's Northern Pacific Division president. "Robert's promotion will allow us to continue focusing on this expanding market, and his leadership skills and project management expertise will complement the quality service our customers expect."

Ward is a McCarthy veteran of 20 years and has more than 25 years of construction experience. As a project director, he will be responsible for the success of all field operations, including coordination and supervision of subcontractors, scheduling, job safety, budget, and quality control. He received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering technology from the Oregon Institute of Technology.

Ward has been involved in a number of high-profile projects, including the Sacramento Convention Center Expansion, the UC San Francisco Parnassus Services Seismic Replacement Building and the Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
