Albert Petrangeli, President of Centex Rooney Construction Co., Inc., is pleased to announce that Centex Rooney will have

a Topping Out ceremony for Palm Beach County's Atlantic Community High School on Wed., Mar. 31st at 12 noon.

This is a 386,800 square foot new community high school for the School District of Palm Beach County, Fla. This $53.4 million new facility will include 2,644 student stations and will replace the original Atlantic High School. When complete, the new campus will have:

-- an administration building

-- an auditorium and music center

-- a cafeteria

-- a construction/service career academy building

-- two three-story classroom buildings and one two-story

classroom building

-- a media center

-- a gymnasium with locker rooms

All of these buildings will share a common interior courtyard. There will also be two additional buildings - a central plant and a ticket/concession building serving the stadium. Finally, the new facility will be designed and built to provide emergency storm shelter to protect the citizens of the local community.

The project, located at 2451 West Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, is estimated to be complete by May 2005.

"We are looking forward to exceeding expectations on this project...another opportunity for Centex Rooney to invest in the community where we live, work, and play," said Clinton Glass, Vice President of Centex Rooney's Palm Beach County regional office.

Centex Rooney, Florida's largest general contractor and construction manager, is a part of Centex Construction Group, a subsidiary of Centex Corporation (NYSE:CTX) a Fortune 250 Company. Dallas-based Centex, through other subsidiaries, ranks among the nation's leading home builders, non-bank-affiliated retail mortgage originators, and commercial contractors. Centex has been named one of Chief Executive magazine's Top 20 companies for developing leaders and consistently ranks among the most admired companies in its industry, according to FORTUNE magazine.
