South Florida Mall Plans Upscale Expansion, Improvements.

Mar. 19--Sawgrass Mills mall is betting that the well-off like a bargain as much as the next shopper. The Mills Corp., the mall's parent, said Thursday it plans a free-standing high-end version of its outlet store concept adjacent to the Sawgrass Mills mall. At the same time, Mills said it is renovating the mall that opened in Sunrise in 1990.

The move comes as the area sees increased development, including plans by Swedish furniture giant IKEA to build its first Flori
