Robert C. Van Cleave, president and chief executive officer of Dallas-based Centex Construction Company, announced today promotions and additions to the company's executive

team.

Included in the announcement were Mark Layman, Gary Keil, Rick Johnson and Todd Moffatt.

Promoted to executive vice president, Mark Layman joined Centex in 1989. He is responsible for financial decisions and investments and will continue to serve as chief financial officer for Centex and as co-chief financial officer for the company's managing parent company, Centex Construction Group.

Gary Keil, who joined the company in June 1999, has been promoted to senior vice president. Keil will continue directing the healthcare division and will be directly involved in the company's strategic growth and direction throughout the Dallas market.

With 18 years in operations at Centex, Rick Johnson has been promoted to vice president. Johnson's experience encompasses private and public projects throughout the Southwest marketplace.

In Todd Moffatt's promotion to vice president, he will continue to direct the accounting and financial services divisions of Centex Construction Company. Moffatt has been with the company since 1998 and brings dual strengths in both financial analysis and the issues unique to the construction industry.
