INDIA: Joint venture construction plans for proposed $35,000,000 high-strength aluminum alloys...

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

An Indian/American joint venture, operating under the name of HINDALCO-ALMEX AEROSPACE LTD., was recently established in view of building a plant to manufacture high-strength aluminium alloys for applications in the aerospace, sporting goods and surface transport industries. The partners in the planned undertaking and their respective shareholdings include the local HINDALCO INDUSTRIES LTD. (70%) and ALMEX USA INC. of the US (30%).

Construction plans call for building a mill with an installed production capacity of 46,000 tons per year. I
