A-Mining Group chooses Taylor Co. for new quarry site.(Stockpile: the latest producer...

A-Mining Group, an affiliate of Anderson Columbia Co. Inc., headquartered in Lake City, Fla., announced that it will bring a new north Florida quarry on line by mid-summer 2005. The mine is located off U.S. 98 in Taylor County, 18 miles west of Perry and 34 miles southeast of Tallahassee.

The north Florida site, located on 5,800 acres in the Big Bend region of Florida, was chosen owing to its concentration of high-quality materials as well as being centrally located to service north, central and southern Florida and south Georgia. The quarry will produce aggregate prod
