Essar to build own steel plant in South Kalimantan.(CORPORATE NEWS IN BRIEF)

Indian steel maker Essar International Steel Limited plans to build an iron ore processing plant in South Kalimantan with an investment of US$ 500 million. Metal, Machine, Textile and Multifarious Industries Director General Ansari Bukhari said Essar has made inventory of iron ore reserves in South Kalimantan and it has asked the government to help by providing data and supporting facilities. Essar plans to build a factory with an annual capacity to process 2 million tons of iron ore
