This year's National Pavement Expo will be held January 30 through February 2 in Nashville,Tenn. The expo has many seminars focusing on techniques, tricks of the trade and tips for contractors in both the concrete and pavement industries.

"Sealing

& Repairing Joints in Concrete" was the highest-rated technical session in 2007 Put on by MickVinckier, Miktom Parking Lot Maintenance, this seminar focuses on how to cut and install joints in green and existing concrete pavements. With an emphasis on how to make money in joint cleaning and sealing, this seminar is beneficial for any contractor whose business involves concrete pavement repairs.

New this year at NPE is another concrete-focused seminar for contractors just starting in concrete or those looking to review the basics. "Concrete Basics & Repair" with Don Rooney, Pioneer Paving, will cover the "how to" side of concrete repair as well as the basics of concrete - basic formulas, how to order concrete accurately and how to determine concrete strength and thickness.
