Rain Puts a Damper on Outdoor Economy in North Carolina.

Jun. 28--Months of above-average rainfall have stalled construction, trimming paychecks and prompting layoffs. Landscapers waded in mud, waves crashed on empty beaches, and golfers stowed their clubs.
