PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Turkish MINISTRY OF ENERGY & NATURAL RESOURCES (MENR) recently awarded a power plant construction contract to an international consortium led by U.S.-based STONE & WEBSTER INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS INC., a subsidiary of STONE & WEBSTER (S&B). The other partners in the planned undertaking include the local ATA CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY & TRADING LTD. and SOYAK INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION & INVESTMENT INC. in conjunction with VA TECH and STRABAG OSTERREICH GMBH of Austria.

Konaktepe is located on the Munzur River near Ovacik in the Tunceli Prov
