Anchorage— The Alaska chapter of Associated General Contractors presented awards to the winners of the annual construction excellence and safety competitions at its recent annual convention.
The Alaska USA Insurance Brokers Excellence in Construction award winners were as follows:
Meeting the Challenge of a Job, under $5 million Vertical Construction — Davis Constructors and Engineers Inc. for the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program Facility;
Meeting the Challenge of a Job, $5 million to $15 million Vertical Construction — Roger Hickel Contracting Inc. for Service High School Renewal;
Meeting the Challenge of a Job, over $15 million Vertical Construction — Osborne Construction Co. for the FTW295 Family Housing Replacement - Southern Cross - Fort Wainwright;
Meeting the Challenge of a Job, over $3 million Transportation, Marine, Heavy, Earthmoving — Roger Hickel Contracting Inc. for UPS Ramp Expansion Phase II;
Meeting the Challenge of a Job, under $3 million Transportation, Marine, Heavy, Earthmoving — West Construction Co. for Bear Valley Bridge;
Excellence in Construction Award for a Specialty Contractor: Transportation, Marine, Heavy, Earthmoving — American Marine Corp. for Kodiak Fiber Line Repair;
Excellence in Construction Award for a Specialty Contractor: Vertical Construction — Coldfoot Environmental Services Inc. for Abate Central Power Plant.
