PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local PETKIM recently awarded a joint venture led by Japan-based MITSUI ENGINEERING & SHIPBUILDING (MES) a contract to expand its ethylene plant located at Aliaga, Turkey. In so doing, MES has teamed up with GAMA of Turkey to complete this project.

The planned upgrade, of undisclosed cost, will involve expanding capacity from the current 400,000 metric tons per year (mt/y) up to 520,000 mt/y. MES will be responsible for completing the detail design as well as international procurement of material and equipment together with advisory
