Daniel founded Urban Architecture in Dallas in 1981, focusing his practice on design as a premium value. He led his firm to be an early leader among Dallas architectural firms in the use and development of technology tools. Desiring to improve century-old models of service delivery, Kip merged his firm into The Beck Group, a national design and construction firm with solid credentials in developing cutting-edge design-build software. As a partner in the resulting 500-person firm, Kip continues to innovate methods by which architecture and construction can be combined to produce better design, better prediction of costs, more intelligent selection of systems and materials, and a more efficient process for both the client and the team.
Daniel earned his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts in architecture degrees at Rice University, Houston. His representative architectural work includes the University of North Texas Administration Building Renovation, Denton; First Baptist Church, Colleyville; Potter's House Sanctuary, Dallas; and Ultrak Corporate Headquarters, Lewisville, Texas.
