New KinderCare Under Construction in Farmington; Area Families Can Look Forward to New Childcare...

FARMINGTON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 19, 2003

Construction is underway on a new 9,000-square-foot KinderCare Learning Center, located at South Road and Middle Road, Farmington. Designed to accommodate 148 children, the Farmington KinderCare will be the 21st operating in the state of Connecticut. The center is expected open in January, 2004, and children can be enrolled soon. The Farmington KinderCare will be open Monday through Friday, offering extended hours.

KinderCare Learning Centers nationwide provide a positive learning environment with age-specific learning programs for all ages. KinderCare's curriculum meets the intellectual, social, emotional and physical needs of children.

The Farmington KinderCare will offer a contemporary classroom-style 9,000-square-foot facility. In addition to the regular curriculum, a variety of enrichment and tutorial programs are offered for preschool and school-age children, including Hooked on phonics, a unique reading enrichment program that teaches early reading skills, and instructional computer-integrated learning programs.

The new center will feature an outdoor Playscape, a natural extension of the classroom, offering different settings, surfaces, textures and equipment to stimulate learning and development by providing a variety of play opportunities.

The architect for the Farmington KinderCare project is Children's Design Group and the general contractor for the build-out is Belisle Construction, Inc.
