Suitt Awarded Contract for Poultry Plant.

Suitt Construction Company, a BE&K subsidiary, has been awarded a contract to manage the construction of a $10-million, state-of-the-art expansion to the Bell & Evans(R) poultry processing plant in Fredericksburg,

Pa.

The scope of work for the two-story, 65,000-square-foot project includes the construction of processing areas, air-chill additions, and the renovation of existing processing space into employee areas. Suitt will also demolish existing offices adjacent to the plant. The schedule calls for construction to be completed in May 2004.

Farmers Pride Inc. has been providing Bell & Evans(R) brand all-natural poultry to upscale markets on the East Coast since the 1890s.
