Stora Enso Investing in Kotka Mill.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 16, 2000

Stora Enso's subsidiary, Laminating Papers Oy, is investing in its Kotka Mill. The saturating base kraft capacity of PM1 and the pulp mill will both be increased from 135,000 t/a to 160,000 t/a at a cost of EUR

27 million. The project will be completed by October 2001. This investment will enhance Laminating Papers' competitiveness.

Laminating Papers Oy, a subsidiary of Stora Enso Oyj, is part of the Stora Enso Packaging Boards Division. It is the leading producer of laminating papers in Europe.
