Formaldehyde awakens?

The market price for formaldehyde has been stuck at 21¢/lb for several months but it could be awakening from its slumber soon. The formaldehyde market is experiencing some improved demand as laminated lumber plants have been buying the chemical to cover requirements for plywood and other laminated wood panels. A fire at a major Canadian panel plant has halted production, forcing buyers to seek supplies elsewhere.
