Erosion control simplified.(Geotextiles)

American Excelsior Co claims to have designed a comparatively simple form of erosion control blanket.

The company from Adlington, Texas, reveals details of its invention in US Patent 6 855 650 where it says that the basic design uses crimped polyester fibres made from recycled plastic bottles. This enables a material to be made from non-biodegradable materials and so create a durable anti-erosion material that can be used to minimize run-off from areas prone to erosion such as embankments and water drainage ditches.
