The Houston, Texas office of BE&K Construction Company has been awarded a contract from Southern Natural Gas, a subsidiary of El Paso Corporation, for the Ellerslie Compressor Station Addition Project. The Ellerslie

Project is a part of the Southern Natural Gas South System Expansion Phase II (SSEPI). The scope of work includes the installation of one 6,000 HP skid-mounted, electric motor driven reciprocating gas compressor package at the Ellerslie station. The compressor will be a Superior Model WG-76 direct-coupled to a Siemens 6,000 HP electric motor. The project is scheduled for completion in May of 2003.
