Retractable Enclosures from Roll-A-Cover

Homeowners may not be able to fight Mother Nature, but what if they could hold her back for awhile. Extending pool use to nine months in Northern states, the ability to keep the rain out or let the fresh air in are all things that Roll-A-Cover, International offers its customers.

With our February issue of Qualified Remodeler, we brought you pool enclosures from Roll-A-Cover, International. Approximately four years ago, Roll-A-Cover manufactured its first enclosure and today they are in five countries with custom commercial and residential projects being produced daily.

"Roll-A-Cover.com enclosures are so unique in that they provide open air and space with a simple roll," says Michael Morris, president and CEO of Roll-A-Cover, International. "Both roof and walls move simultaneously. With no tracks there aren't issues with safety or collection of dirt and debris on the sill or threshold areas."

Made of a UV-ray-shielding polycarbonate twin-wall roof system, the pool enclosures help increase air and water temperatures in and around the pool. Roll-A-Cover also produces retractable sunrooms, roof systems and skylights, plus rolling wall systems.

"We custom build to whatever design or dream a client has and whatever they wish to use a retractable concept for," says Morris.

A potential drawback that Roll-A-Cover explains to its clients is that even though it is 98 percent airtight and leak-free due to the telescopic nature of the product, it doesn't have a flashed sill so some water could enter from excessive winds and rains. Some of the benefits of the Roll-A-Cover enclosures are that they only require 4- to 6-in. slabs as a rolling surface; plus some communities may not charge property taxes on the structure because of its portable nature.
