Carolina Outlet Center Bought by Chelsea Group -- New Marketing Strategies and Shopping Packages...
SMITHFIELD, N.C./PRNewswire/ -- Chelsea Property Group has bought the Smithfield shopping center and has development plans for the center to become a Premium Outlet.
"The center in Smithfield is truly a jewel," said Michelle Rothstein, vice president of marketing for
Chelsea Property Group, a New Jersey real estate investment trust. "We see potential for integrating it into a Premium Outlet center over time."
At the company's 25 other Premium Outlet centers, tenants include high-end retailers like Williams-Sonoma, Coach and Banana Republic. "Which luxury retailers will join the Smithfield outlet remains to be seen," Rothstein said. Chelsea will look at which current Carolina Outlet Center stores are performing well before choosing new tenants for the center. "We will only make it better," she said. "Our question is, 'How can we polish the jewel?'"
As the new management team takes over they are announcing their first "Incredible Outlet Sale Promotion" beginning Saturday, November 3 through November 12. Shoppers will find 70% off bargains at Eddie Bauer, Brooks Brothers, Bombay Outlet, Nike Factory Outlet and many more.
WHAT: An "Incredible Outlet Sale" at Carolina Outlet Center. Shopper will find tremendous savings up to 70% off just in time for early holiday shopping.
