Hickey-Freeman to Open Store on Fifth Avenue on October 12th

NEW YORK/PRNewswire/ -- Prestigious clothier, Hickey-Freeman, will open its first retail store in its 102-year history on October 12th at 666 Fifth Avenue, between 52nd and 53rd streets.

Fifth Avenue is the highest profile retail address in the world, allowing us to showcase the Hickey-Freeman collection before a global audience," said Paulette Garafalo, group president and chief operating officer of Hickey-Freeman.

Our store will reflect the American attitude of being uncomplicated, never pretentious and the true destination shop for the successful man."

The new Hickey-Freeman store, being designed by noted architect Robert A.M. Stern, will feature the entire Hickey-Freeman collection which includes the new "Hand Tailored" made to measure clothing and dress furnishings. Included in the merchandise selection will be the Bobby Jones sportswear collection.

A few of Stern's recently completed projects include the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA and the Disney Feature Animation Building in Burbank, CA. In addition, the firm continues to work with the City and State of New York on the implementation of the design guidelines for the revitalization of 42nd Street in New York City.
