Nokia breaks into home security market.

Do you want a do-it-yourself way to keep a close eye on your home when you're not around? Nokia Remote Camera is a wireless home monitoring system with an integrated motion detector. It lets you capture still images and video clips with sound, even in low light and outdoor conditions.

The camera doesn't require a physical connection to the Internet; all it needs is a power supply and access to a GSM net-work. After inserting a SIM card, entering a PIN, and defining a user, the Nokia Remote Camera is ready to be your on-site spy.

When it detects motion, the camera sends the images or video clips to your e-mail address or MMS-enabled phone. You can also set it up to send images at predefined intervals, or when you send an SMS query to the camera. Users can also receive notifications when a minimum or maximum temperature has been reached, and can even view the temperature history for the past 24 hours as a graph.
