Build Relationships through Differentiation
Recently I had a meeting with a business owner in the coffee house next door to their business. They told me that there was a Brazilian cafe next door. Sounded intriguing - exotic. What I realized
What I realized once I had ordered my latte' was that this was no ordinary barista at Kitanda - Brazilian or otherwise. He poured a most delicious cup of java, but it was the finish that made it "over the top" for me. He drew a caricature in the foam - mine happened to be Homer Simpson. Not sure why I got Homer, but it truly was a piece of art. Temporary art, that is - since I ultimately had to add a bit of sugar and mix it up. But what a lesson.
Differentiate yourself - your business - your brand. I will post a photo, because of course I took a picture of Homer before I stirred. Homer is all about reminding me to differentiate - then stir it up.
