California Manufacturing expands into sportswear, hires sales team.

ST. LOUIS - California Manufacturing Co., maker of the California Outerwear line for the promotional products marketplace, will expand into sportswear with its all-new 2004 catalog, adding the label Horizon by California.

California Outerwear has for several years been brought to the industry by PremiumWear, a Minnesota company that supplies its own Munsingwear, Page & Tuttle, Field & Stream, Burk's Bay, and Jockey lines to the industry, as well as some styles from Anvil. The two companies announced in June they would sever the relationship as of 2004, with California
