Huntsman's TPU alliance: Schulman to supply TPU to moulders; R&D boost. (newslines).

BRUSSELS--Huntsman Polyurethanes has appointed A. Schulman to distribute its Irogran thermoplastic polyurethanes to injection moulders in Germany, Poland and the UK.

Under an alliance to start on 1 Dec, Schulman--an Akron, Ohio-based supplier of plastic compounds, masterbatch and thermoplastic elastomers--will also provide support to Huntsman's existing injection moulding customers.

Schulman has 14 manufacturing plants in the US, Canada, Mexico, Asia-Pacific and Europe. The company employs around 2400 and has sales of $1000 million.
