The solicitation to build the Army's second chemical demilitarization facility is coming out soon, sending the program into high gear.
After the contract for the Anniston, Ala., plant is awarded in August, the program is expected to churn out a contract a year through the end of the decade. This is the schedule as it stands now, but some dates might slip, said Ken Crawford, spokesperson for the Huntsville Div., the Corps construction agent for the chem demil plants:
