Technical support eases pain of product development

When design engineers begin the product development process, significant time is often spent weighing material options. Is rubber better than plastic? If so, which is a better fit: traditional vulcanized rubber, melt-processable rubber (MPR), or a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE)? What are the performance and cost considerations? One important question that decision-makers don't ask often enough is: who are the suppliers of the various alternatives and what kind of technical support do they provide?
