Sarin technologies has launched a brand new laser sawing, cutting and shaping product for the diamond industry, based on proprietary technology and the latest green laser technology developed by CNC Laser of Belgium. Sarin said the use of a green laser as opposed to the traditional red laser used in the diamond industry ensures, among other things, minimal breakage and weight loss in the cut or sawn stones. Another advantage the company claims for the product is that it can saw through "tension stones," which are especially prone to damage during mechanical or laser processing. <
