ACC, Maryland, NACDA join University Netcasting's on-line network of official athletic Web sites.

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 8, 1996--The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), the University of Maryland, and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) have joined University Netcasting Inc.'s (UNI) network of official collegiate athletic sites on the World

Wide Web.

With this announcement, UNI now represents nine major colleges, universities and athletic organizations, including the University of Notre Dame, University of Southern California, University of California, The University of Arizona, Texas Tech University and the Big 12 Conference. These organizations have joined with UNI to provide the first official web experience for the collegiate affinity audience.

UNI builds and maintains each entity's "Official Athletic Site'" (OAS), the institution's exclusive, authorized athletic site on the World Wide Web. Access to each Official Athletic Site will be through a gateway site, FANSonly' (www.fansonly.com). All sites will be updated daily and are free to anyone with Internet access and a frame-compliant web browser such as Netscape 2.0 or higher, Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or America Online 3.0.

"Along with our marketing representative, ACC Properties, we are excited about joining with University Netcasting to fully develop an official ACC Internet site," said Rick Chryst, assistant commissioner of the Atlantic Coast Conference, a nine-member conference covering six states across the Southeast.

"We feel the technical and editorial capabilities of University Netcasting in concert with the promotional power of Raycom and the licensing expertise of The Collegiate Licensing Company form the perfect partners to move forward in this new medium."

"Our involvement with University Netcasting is a natural extension of Raycom's marketing strength," said Raycom President & CEO Ray Warren. "It allows us to ensure the highest level of service to our rightsholder, the Atlantic Coast Conference, while keeping our highly regarded sales force far out in front of other marketers in the sports industry."

"This joint-venture allows us to spread the word about our athletics better than ever before," said Maryland Athletic Director Deborah Yow. "A polished, timely Web site in this network will allow us to provide Terrapin athletic information and game results to college sports fans throughout the country."

"One of the main purposes of NACDA is to facilitate the education and exchange of information of collegiate athletics administrators. University Netcasting is going to make this exchange faster and easier than we ever thought possible," said NACDA Executive Director Mike Cleary.

"We have more than 5,100 members at 1,500 institutions who will now be able to access each other's resources and insights almost instantaneously. Plus, we can promote our association and earn revenue, enabling us to provide more educational opportunities."
