Mach One Corp. announces and guarantees new oil additive.

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 21, 1996--Mach One Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: MACH) announced today the launching of an oil additive product, Mach One XL, which the company claims is the true benchmark of the industry.

This announcement comes on the heels of reports released July 16, 1996, by the FTC alleging that Quaker State's: Slick 50 brand oil additive did not live up to its advertised claims. Last year, through similar claims of false advertising on STP's engine treatment, First Brands (STP's parent company) paid a civil penalty of $888,000 (U.S.).

"We are keenly aware of the Slick 50 and STP situations," said Bill Thomas, chief executive officer of Mach One Corp. "We know the sensitivity this has placed in the consumer's mind about any product of this nature. That's why we put the warranty on XL. We know it works."

Mach One XL does not contain any Teflon, which will bond to surfaces in high heat conditions, building up over time and causing major engine wear. Most other engine oil additives are based on the use of Teflon as a major component of their formulation. According to Thomas, "Another difference between XL and other treatments is that the product is intended to assist motor oil, not replace it, in protecting the engine."

"XL is to be used at every oil change," said Thomas. "It is not intended to replace the need of regular service," he continued.

The company claims XL will raise the service life performance level of commonly used motor oils by up to five times, allowing them to function under extreme conditions, including the contamination of water and antifreeze.
